Ahmed Saad is an ST6 Trauma and Orthopaedics registrar in the Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme. As an international medical graduate, he has demonstrated exceptional dedication to securing his first choice jobs ST3 number, achieving a top-ten national ranking. With a diverse background in the field, Ahmed has garnered extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery through his work in various regions of the UK, including Birmingham and the North West.
Ahmed holds a postgraduate certificate in Medical Education, graduating from the esteemed University of Dundee, Early in his training, he assumed the role of educational lead for the orthopaedic programme during core training, successfully organising multiple national and international courses. Currently, he serves as the Birmingham Orthopaedic Network’s educational lead, pioneering innovative courses for orthopaedic registrars both within the region and across the nation.
Ahmed’s commitment to supporting aspiring orthopaedic trainees, particularly international medical graduates, led to his co-founding of ST3 Orthoboss. This platform aims to provide affordable resources and guidance to help orthopaedic trainees achieve success in securing their desired ST3 number.
Ibrahim is a dedicated ST6 trainee in the Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme, with a strong passion for Medical Education. Throughout his career, he has gained valuable experience across the UK, completing training in the South Thames and Mersey regions before successfully obtaining his desired ST training position in the West Midlands.
Ibrahim holds a qualification in Medical Education, reflecting his commitment to advancing teaching and learning in the medical field. Additionally, he serves as a national trauma course instructor and is actively involved as a member of the local simulation teaching faculty. Ibrahim’s experience and teaching abilities have led to his participation as a faculty member in regional and national interview courses, where he imparts his knowledge and offers guidance to aspiring colleagues.
With his diverse experiences, Ibrahim has taken on a mentorship role, assisting junior colleagues in various aspects of their career progression. He provides support and guidance during MRCS (Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons) preparation, core training interviews, and ultimately helps them navigate the process towards successful ST3 selection.
Ibrahim’s commitment to education and his willingness to share his experience make him an invaluable asset to the medical community. His dedication to mentorship and guidance serves as an inspiration to his peers, fostering an environment of growth and success.
Abdus is an accomplished ST6 speciality registrar within the prestigious Birmingham Orthopaedic Training program. In addition to his clinical pursuits, he is currently pursuing a PhD in the field of peripheral nerve surgery. His commitment to advancing his knowledge and experience led him to undertake a year-long role as a Research Fellow in Hands, Plastics, and Peripheral Nerve Surgery, further deepening his understanding in the specialised area.
Over the past four years, Abdus has dedicated his time and experience to coach numerous candidates in preparation for both medical and non-medical interviews. His guidance and support have proven invaluable in helping aspiring individuals excel in their interview preparations. Through his comprehensive coaching, Abdus has successfully assisted candidates in securing their desired positions in Core Training and Specialty Training programs, drawing from his own personal experiences of achieving his first job choices.
Abdus’ passion for education, coupled with his practical experience and exceptional research contributions, makes him a well-rounded and influential figure in the field of orthopaedics. His commitment to mentoring and coaching showcases his dedication to fostering the growth and success of future medical professionals.
